Henriksen Butler was enthusiastic to partner up with Jacobsen Construction on providing furniture for the Beverly Center remodel in Los Angeles. The $500 million face lift included new design features such as a continuous ribbon of new skylights, a stunning perforated steel exterior facade to capture daylight, a row of street-level restaurants for a more pedestrian-friendly feel, and a gourmet food hall and a flexible center court. HB provided furniture for the Beverly Center mall offices, VIP lounge, and all common areas. For the common areas, we installed over 250 pieces of furniture from almost 30 vendors from around the world.
HB was able to solve some unique installation challenges which included: mounting all furniture to terrazzo flooring without damaging it, having custom metal hardware built, having to work around closing hours past 9pm, and having a special reinforced crate built to bring in a 1,300 marble bench that wouldn't fit in the elevators.
