With generous gifts from individuals, businesses and local government, the South Meridian Family YMCA is open and meeting the needs of a growing community. The 60,000-square-foot facility includes gyms, exercise studios, lounge spaces, and youth development areas for arts, study and play. Furnishings were chosen for their durability, bright brand colors, and an overall aesthetic of playfulness.

Lifestyle Medicine Clinic Creates Space for Change
This innovative clinic housed inside the YMCA community center focuses on Lifestyle Medicine, working to treat the causes of preventable diseases such as diabetes, obesity and heart disease. The clinic includes classroom space, teaching kitchen, consultation room and a transitional gym for individuals who otherwise might be intimidated by a normal gym setting. Also onsite are physician psychologists, nurses, social workers, dietitians and physical therapists as well as a pediatric clinic on the first floor.
