HB Workplaces Seattle COR Acquisition FAQs

2024 HB Workplaces Salt Lake City 8
COR Aquisition of HB Workplaces

FAQs

HB Workplaces and HB Build are now A COR Company, joining Creative Office Resources (COR), a long-time MillerKnoll Certified Dealer and DIRTT partner. This change took place in January and strengthens the resources supporting our Seattle team — without changing how we work with clients day to day.

Does this change who I work with?
No. Your Seattle-based team remains the same across sales, design, project management, and operations. The relationships, processes, and people you work with today are unchanged.

Will this impact my current or upcoming projects?
No. Projects will continue as planned, with the same teams and timelines. This transition was designed to avoid disruption while adding support behind the scenes.

What’s different as a result of this change?
What’s changed is the depth of resources supporting our local team, including...

•  Expanded National Operations

•  Certified Women-Owned Business Status

•  Shared Best Practices Across Larger Network of Markets

•  Greater Capacity to Support Complex Portfolios and Multi-Phase Projects

Are MillerKnoll and DIRTT involved and supportive?
Yes, this transition has the full backing of both MillerKnoll and DIRTT. Dealer relationships, product access, warranties, and manufacturer support remain fully intact.

Does this change HB’s role in the Seattle design community?
No — and if anything, it reinforces it. Our Seattle team continues to operate with a design-first service approach, supported by additional resources that allow us to be more responsive and better equipped as projects grow in scale or complexity.

What does “national resources, local expertise” actually mean?
It means Seattle clients continue to work with a local, design-driven team — now supported by the resources of the largest MillerKnoll dealer globally. Decision-making and delivery remain local, while additional expertise and infrastructure sit behind the scenes when needed.

Does this affect pricing, contracts, or warranties?
No changes are anticipated. All existing agreements, pricing structures, and warranties remain in place.

Is HB now a Woman-Owned Business?
Through COR, HB projects can now qualify under WBENC-BE certified women-owned business status. This allows certain clients — particularly enterprise, public sector, and government organizations — to count projects toward supplier diversity goals without changing partners.
